Bullocks (92) averaged 186.5p per kg (-2.7p on the week) and sold to 205p from Inland Pastures, gross £1376 from Longnewton.
Heifers (75) averaged 183p per kg, (-2.7p on the week) and sold to 204p, gross £1183 from Bee Edge.
The two young bulls averaged 176.7p per kg and sold to 187p, gross £1150 from Haughhead.
The 101 beef type OTM cattle averaged 131p per kg (+2.8p on the week) and sold to 165p, gross £1386 from Humebyres. The four dairy type OTM cattle sold to 122p, gross £651 from Thornington,

Border Livestock Exchange to week ending Friday May 6 sold 172 prime cattle including 61 cows, 349 prime sheep including 103 new season lambs, 108 cast ewes and 246 store cattle.
With the exceptional weather new season lambs are finishing quicker. Buyers are eager to secure lambs and a company record of 600p per kilo was secured for Messrs Freeland-Cook, Cliftoncote, Yetholm whose consignment averaged £121 per head.
Cattle trade continues to edge up with records breaking for cull cows. Belgian blue cows from Bowsden Moor, Berwick sold to 280p and £1,226 and £1,131. Hill cows sold to £942 for Blue Greys and Galloway crosses. Cast bulls again sold at extreme levels with mature Galloway bulls from Hedgeley Farms, Powburn selling to £1,127 per head, mature bullocks to £1,142 Middle Cawledge, Alnwick. Young bulls to £1,266 Deanfoot, Denholm. Organic AA heifers from Pallinsburn, Cornhill selling to 350p and £1,163 per head; and from Tullochallum Farm, Dufftown to 350p for 24 which averaged £1,285 per head. AAX bullocks from Bonjedward Mill, Jedburgh selling to 320p per kg to Well Hung and Tender, Berwick upon Tweed. Continental cross steers to 315p and £1,207 Newhouses Farm, Hallington. At the opening show and sale of Spring Lambs, 81 head were forward.
The show was ably judged by Mr R. Booth who awarded the Championship in both the singles and the pairs to Hazel Martindale, Land Farm.
The single weighted 43 kilos and realised £131.50 (305.8p/kilo) to Pak Mecca Meats. The pairs weighed 52 kilos and realised £136.50 (262p/kilo) also to Pak Mecca Meats.
The lambs averaged 259p per kilo overall and more lambs are required regularly.

A massive show of 6,070 prime hoggs met an animated trade to a full ring of buyers all keen for good meated hoggs.
Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown sold 330 Blackface hoggs to average 43kilos, £104.50 and 240p/kilo.
Messrs Miller, Eycott sold 485 Blackface and Cheviot hoggs to average 36 kilos, £90.56 and 250.5p/kilo.
Messrs Errington sold 778 hoggs of all classes to average 39 kilos, £94.07 and 237p/kilo.
Messrs Mulgrew, Walney Island sold 213 Cheviot, Blackface and Suffolk hoggs to average 45 kilos, £110.36 and 241.1p/kilo.
The overall sale average was 238p per kilo and the sale was topped at 273p per kilo for Beltex from Mosshall with a top per head of £142.50 for Texels from Drinkstone.
The 1,330 lightweight hoggs met exceptional demand to average 245p/kilo.
