Lane of Selkirk road closed over wall fears

A LANE of a Selkirk road has been closed due to the condition of a wall.

Scottish Borders Council has implemented temporary traffic management arrangements at Yarrow Terrace after an inspection of the structure outside the Glen Hotel.

An SBC spokesman said: “The condition of the wall has been causing concern for a number of months, however, as a result of the latest inspection the northbound lane of Yarrow Terrace has been cordoned off to give protection to passing motorists.

“SBC is seeking to determine a satisfactory solution to this matter and apologises for the disruption caused to road users by this temporary arrangement.”
