Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) has announced that it iss creating 500 new roles, split between 300 in Preston and 200 in Selkirk.

The recruitment drive will swell the current Selkirk workforce of 100 to 300.

An HGS spokesperson confirmed: “No jobs will be lost. These are new jobs for which we will be hiring from the local talent pool.”

And he told us there are more jobs to come: “HGS has ambitious plans for growth in the UK, supported by new business wins and an expanding client base.

“There will be more new jobs in Selkirk to support new client operations – we will have more news about this in the upcoming months.”

The 200 new roles comprise, he explained, “a range of contact centre jobs in front office and back office positions, including roles such as customer service agents, technical support advisor, contact centre team managers.

The deadline for job hunters is the end of November 2015.”

HGS’s Selkirk centre is home to customer support campaigns for clients including Quadrant Subscription Services, Lloyds Banking and Astra Zeneca.

The company told us: “Our Selkirk centre ,with its highly-talented staff and low attrition rates, was the natural choice for expansion.

“The site has the capacity to accommodate more staff and the expansion will utilise the centre to its full potential.

“It will also allow us to tap into the rich talent pool in Selkirk as well as the surrounding areas.”
