Borders trio are up for tourism award

Victory could be brewing for the Borders after the region was shortlisted for a trio of top tourism awards.

Born in the Borders Brewery and Visitor Centre, its owner John Henderson and Kingmuir House in Peebles are all in the running for a regional Scottish Thistle Award.

Paula McDonald, VisitScotland regional partnerships director, said; “The Scottish Borders has a wealth of tourism talent and I’m delighted to see that Born in the Borders and Kingsmuir House will both be flying the flag for the region at the Central South East Scottish Thistle Awards final. This is a great achievement and a chance to celebrate those who are doing everything they can to ensure visitors are offered the warmest welcome and first-class service. I’d like to wish them both the best of luck for the next stage of the competition!”
