THE keys for a new overnight stay room at the Borders General Hospital (BGH) were handed over in a ceremony last week.

Mrs Jennifer Croall, chairman of the Friends of the Hospital, handed over the keys of the hospital’s second overnight stay room to BGH general manger, Rachel Bacon.

The room was funded by the Friends of BGH with generous support from the Robertson Trust, in memory of Marjorie Dick.

After the hand-over, they visited the room, which will provide facilities for the relatives and carers of seriously ill patients to stay overnight in the hospital.
