Border Flower Club celebrated its diamond anniversary at the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel.

Chairman Margaret Plummer welcomed Pat Wilson, chairman of the Scottish Association of Flower Clubs, members and friends to the lunch and demonstration by Mildred Stafford, entitled “Diamonds are Forever”.

The demonstration featured a selection of flowers of many hues, with inventive and traditional designs. Mildred received a standing ovation.

The next club meeting has a change of venue – Melrose Parish Church – and will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 6, when the demonstrator will be Jean McClure, from Saltburn, with “Strictly Jeanious”.
