THE Scottish Borders Tourism Partnership is inviting exhibitors and visitors to the Borders 2011 Tourism Fair to be held in Springwood Hall at the Border Union Showground, Kelso, on Tuesday, March 1.

Those wishing to promote their businesses by booking a slot at the fair will be selected on a first come, first served basis.

The charge will be £20 and the final deadline for bookings is Monday, February 21.

At the event, exhibitors can network with those who manage attractions in the region and those who provide support services to the tourism industry.

Invitations have been sent to accommodation providers and all other sectors of the tourism industry, including suppliers, in the Borders and surrounding areas. The partnership has arranged the fair to offer businesses the opportunity to make contacts and profitable links by working together.

The event will be open from 10.30am to 2.30pm and exhibitors will be able to access the hall from 9am on the day of the fair.

Partnership chairman Councillor Ron Smith told us: “We have a great variety of resources that make our region a very desirable tourist destination and this day provides a stage to share information about different services in a more personal way.”
