Her father's lifestyle may not seem wholly in tune with the religion of Buddhism, but cartoon character Lisa Simpson has been made an honourary member of Eskdalemuir's Samye Ling Tibetan centre.
A 2ft high cardboard print of Lisa, signed by The Simpsons cast and creator Matt Groening, was presented to Akong Rinpoche on Saturday and is to be auctioned to raise money for Tibetan charity Rokpa. Pictured is Samye Ling member Claire Smith holding Lisa.
