SPECIAL prizes have been put up by organisers JS Crawford 3rd Generation for their annual fund-raising fun run.
The run raises money for the Borders branch of the MS Society and takes place in Melrose on June 8.

Local MS chairman Elizabeth Pope stressed: “This fun run is vital in raising funds to help local people affected by MS, but also really helps to p
romote Multiple Sclerosis to a much wider audience. All the money raised goes to the Borders branch to help fund a dedicated physiotherapist providing vital home services for Borderers affected by MS.”

Michael Crawford, of JS Crawford 3rd Generation commented: “For the fifth anniversary of the run, we are really keen to break our fund-raising records and reach a target of £5,000 this year.

“We hope all entrants will try to raise as much sponsorship money as possible before the event for the Borders Branch of the MS Society. We are on track to raise £25,000 in total over the years.”

Under-16s could win a bike and adults a voucher for a treatment at Border Physiotherapy Clinic.

Around 400 joined the run – or for many people the walk – last year. For more information phone 01896 822030 or check www.jscrawford.co.uk

The event starts from the Greenyards in Melrose on June 8 at noon.
