Spooky thrill seekers are being invited to sign up for two days of psychic spectacles and ghostly tours led by celebrity friend-of-the-dead Derek Acorah.
Described as the UK's top spirit medium and star of TV shows Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns and Most Haunted, Derek is planning a trip to the Borders to help raise money for leukaemia sufferers.

Two fundraisers in April, organised by national leukaemi
a charity The Anthony Nolan Trust, will see the celebrity spook chaser give a demonstration of his psychic ability at Galashiels' Volunteer Hall and then accompany ghost hunters on a tour of Jedburgh.

On Thursday, April 24, Derek will be holding an audience with Border fans which, say organisers, promises to be a hugely entertaining display of his psychic ability.

And on Friday, only 50 places are available for a night at what was recently described by a team of paranormal investigators as one of the scariest places in Britain. The first half of the night will be spent in the grim surroundings of Mary Queen of Scots' House which was occupied by the fateful Scottish monarch in 1566 and today houses her death mask.

Following that, Derek will accompany thrill seekers to the Castle Jail. Now a museum, the jail site was founded by King David I in the 12th century and was the scene of executions until the early 1800s.

Finally, they will be invited to a mini investigation with The Borders Paranormal Group.

Allan Johnston of The Anthony Nolan trust in The Borders said: "This is quite a coup, Derek has been supporting the charity for three years and with his help we have raised more than £60,000. He is the ultimate professional, hugely entertaining and he enjoys the close contact with his fans. I am sure that our Borders supporters will enjoy his performance."

For more information contact the trust on 01506 655361.
