Border veterans rewarded for war efforts

More than 30 ex-servicemen and women from across the Borders were presented with Veterans Badges at a special ceremony in Galashiels on Tuesday.
Borders MP Michael Moore was on hand to make the presentations at the event in St Paul's Church Hall, which also saw four former Land Girls and Lumber Jills awarded the Women's Land Army Veterans Badge, which was introduced earlier this year. Mr Moore said it had been a "personal pleasure" to help recognise the contributions and services of those who had served their country.
