FLOODLIGHTING Jedburgh Abbey again could cost £50,000. But it will be a matter for the new Scottish Borders Council, the town’s community council heard.
Councillor Len Wyse said council officials were investigating restoring the floodlighting of the ancient building and that estimates varied with one at £50,000.
A Scottish Borders Council spokesman said: “Site surveys have been completed. Our consultants are developing options on alternative solutions which should be with us shortly.”
