THREE baby Borderers were born on New Year’s Day at the Borders General Hospital.

First came Noah James Wood, born at 3.10am and weighing in at 5lb 13.5oz, a first child for proud parents Steven and Jennifer from Hawick, pictured.

Max Nicholson arrived next when mum Debbie gave birth to the 8lb 3.5oz little boy just after 2pm – a son for dad Kevin and brother for Layla, who is two-and-a- half, of Silverbuthall Road, Hawick.

And at just after 3.10pm, Indi Rose Guthrie became the third baby born on New Year’s Day, weighing in at 7lb 3oz, a first child for Liam Guthrie and Kimm Smith from Kelso.
