Harbro buys Border Farm Supplies

Scotland’s largest independent animal feed supplier, Harbro, has taken over Border Farm Supplies, which has depots in Earlston and Duns.

Directors of the local business, which was founded in 1992, are to stay on under the new owners, as are all existing staff.

Harbro’s managing director, Graham Baxter, said the deal added an important piece to the jigsaw of his company’s coverage in Scotland.

The Harbro group has 12 country stores across Scotland, the latest opened in Perth this year.
