Fancy a Bard night out in Kelso?

The Kelso Folk and Live Music Club committee have decided to look at fresh fields this year, so the Burns Night Supper will be held on Saturday, January 26, at the Contented Vine in Kelso.

“Musicians Donald Knox and Pat Douglas have been invited as the guests from Denholm Folk Club,” said organiser Paul McGinley.

“And you will be delighted to know that Martin Marroni will be giving us his splendid rendition of Tam O’ Shanter, which makes the whole thing worthwhile on its own.

“Anyone who wants to do a Burns song, tune or recitation should let me know as soon as possible, so that I can put a running order together.

“It is first come, first served, so if you have a yen for a particular piece then act quickly.

“The kick-off is 7 for 7.30pm, and the cost for a two-course traditional Burns Supper is £14 with veggie options for those requiring them, so please let me know if you are vegetarian when you book your places.”

The venue can accommodate around 30 people. If you are interested in attending please let Paul know by emailing paulmcginley532@btinternet.com.
