Bushcraft class

UP TO 40 members of the Bushcraft UK online forum are set to descend on Wooplaw Community Woodland on Saturday to share skills.

The event has been organised by forum member Stuart Fish from Hawick, who runs The Four Crows bushcraft and primitive living skills company.

He said: “We’re hoping the weather’s going to be fine and that everybody gets something out of it.”

Stuart will give a talk on hunting and trapping. Other expertise shared will include knife sharpening, making fire by primitive methods and other traditional skills.

The event is open to all interested parties. The group will be camping or hammocking in Easterpark and attendees are asked to bring their own wood and water.
