TONIGHT sees Borders-based guitarist Adam Clarkson as the featured artist at the Voodoo Jam, held in Edinburgh's Voodoo Rooms.
Clarkson has worked as a professional guitarist for the last 20 years in both Europe and America and has played with artists including Zoot Money, Dick Hextall-Smith (Colosseum), Gregg Wright and Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy).
Since moving down from Orkney last year, he has been setting up the Borders Guitar School outside Kelso.
This year Clarkson is launching Scottish Guitar Breaks, a series of weekend residential courses with guest tutors putting students through their paces.
Jamming at the Voodoo Rooms begins at 8.30pm and admission is £5.
The monthly event sees the featured artist jam with both invited guests and willing members of the audience. Musicians of all types are welcome to come to sit in.
The Voodoo Rooms are at 19a West Register Street. Telephone 0131 556 7060.
