THE inaugural benefit concert in the region to support the charity Help for Heroes is on Monday in the Volunteer Hall, Galashiels.
Local talent will be to the fore, including singer/songwriter Naomi Chapman, winner of the Borders Got Talent competition last year.

Singer/entertainer George Kennedy will also perform, along with the singing group of the Right Angle Theatre company.

Local Air Training Corps members will also perform.

“Cadets and staff from the Galashiels Squadron (2180) will form a drill display team, while a demonstration of sword dancing from the 1716 squadron (Kelso/St Boswells) and assorted comedy skits should guarantee an evening of great entertainment for all the family,” said an event spokesperson.

Tickets (£5, £3 concessions) are available on the door or from Guess What, Galashiels; Paws and Claws, Jedburgh; Spence’s Music Shop, Hawick; and Merlin Music Melrose.

The show starts at 7pm.
