I had the pleasure of attending an army presentation in Hawick recently.
I just wanted to say how impressed I was at the professionalism and discipline of the personnel I and many others met on the night. They are indeed great ambassadors for the armed forces.

I felt proud to be British and proud to have such brave men and women serving on our behalf.

Thank you to all involved for a wonderful evening of information sharing and positive public relations. One nation, one army.

To any of our servicemen and women from the Borders reading the paper from overseas, thank you – we are thinking of you. Keep safe.

Chris Walker

(Conservative Westminster candidate for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk)
