I am trying to trace my family history and as my enquiries have now led me to Selkirk, I am wondering whether any of your readers may be able to help.
My great grandfather was Archibald Watson, who was born at Old Broadmeadows, Selkirk, in December 1856. He appears in the 1861 census at Old Broadmeadows, along with his parents, also Archibald Watson and Jane Watson (nee Hatlie), and a number of brothers and sisters.

Between 1861 and 1871, most of the family moved to north Wales and appear in the 1871 census in Nant Gwynant.

Later, Archibald (junior) moved to the Midlands where he married.

I would be interested in any information regarding descendants who may remain in the area, or of any ancestors going back further than this family.

Anyone with information may call me on 07958 505869. If I am not available, please leave a message and I will call you back. Alternatively, you may email me on davidfloyd57@aol.com
