Morebattle Primary School has launched its new fund-raising tool – and a tasty one at that.
A recipe book, put together by the children, parents, grandparents and villagers of Morebattle, is on sale at £5. All the money raised will be going towards school trips this term, extra activities for the pupils and reading books, as well as boosting school funds during a time of budget cuts. The book has taken several months to put together. More than 160 recipes have been provided and local businesses have supported the cost of producing the book by offering sponsorship. Production has been kept in-school by staff, plus a host of dedicated mums and grannies who have worked hard in the collation, typing and production of the book. More than 100 copies have so far been sold. The book can be ordered from Liz Watson at Morebattle Primary School on 01573 440236.
