Colin Stevenson from Kelso is taking part in The Dextro Energy London Triathlon in July to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care as part of the charity's Rise to the Challenge programme.
Colin said: "I got involved in triathlons last year and I decided to use this event to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
"The charity provides hands-on nursing care to local people with cancer and other terminal illnesses to allow them to stay in their own homes at the end of life."
