The Borders Barmy Army would like to extend a huge thank you to Grove Bedding for donating such a sensational prize for our grand raffle.

The raffle was drawn on December 21 at Borders Sports and Leisure Trust’s Tweedbank complex by BSLT trainer David Johnson.

First prize of a bed and memory foam mattress worth £500 was won by Mrs E. Gardiner of Selkirk.

We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets. We raised more than £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and are now a step closer to our £12,000 target for this charity as part of our challenge to run both London and Edinburgh marathons in our kilts next year.

During the next few weeks we will be announcing our 2011 fundraising events as we plan to smash our fundraising target for Macmillan Cancer Support. Please keep checking www.bordersbarmyarmy.com for regular updates or join our group on Facebook.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting us throughout our campaign for Macmillan.

Lee Myers
