Thanks for everyone’s support over 18 years

I would like, through your newspaper, to give a big thank you to everyone who has supported Borders SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) over the past 18 years.

We have been able, through the kindness of donations made to us, to supply much-needed equipment (both professional and non-professional) to various departments within Borders General Hospital, and have just completed donating money to buy resource materials/equipment for all the health centres throughout the Borders.

At our last remembrance service held on Sunday in the Chaplaincy Centre at Borders General Hospital, participants were able to hang a personal note onto our remembrance tree. It has been decided that the tree will remain in place until September and anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby are invited to call into the centre to add their own message.

For further information regarding this, or National SANDS in general, please contact myself (01573 228875) or the Reverend Dick, chaplain, BGH (01896 826000).

Irene Halliday

(secretary,

Border SANDS)
