Can we please use your letters column to thank several people who made it possible for us to open our funfair in Kelso last week.

Because of the terrible weather we have had it was not possible for us to open on Croft Park as normal, and for the first time in 46 years we were granted permission to return to The Knowes.

We would like to thank Scottish Borders Council, Neil Pringle (parks manager), the police, Kelso Chamber of Trade, the businesses and residents in the area, and also Kelso Civic Week chief steward Mark Halliday.
