KELSO’S George Cook won Lauderdale Ploughing Society’s match at Bettyfield, Smailholm on Saturday.

John Bathgate from Dunbar was reserve champion and third best overall was Keith Robertson from Lauder.

Secretary June Anderson said: “On the day of the match the weather stayed dry and we had a good number of spectators.”
